1) The clock is ticking on your opportunity to take the Amateur Extra Class License Exam before the Question Pools, and resulting exams CHANGE. Unfortunately, there now apparently have been 2 sets of bad files in the 2012 Question Pool files. So, if you have downloaded any of the 2012 Extra Class Question Pool files, DELETE THEM. The NCVEC Website will advise on their website when things have been fixed. As of now, a new release is supposed to come out on Jan. 30, 2012, but I personally wouldn't hold my breath. 3) A Special Format Net on a ''ham radio wedding'' is set for Sunday, Feb. 12, 2012.

4) The Cabot Nightflyers Net will celebrate its 4th birthday in May, 2012. Watch the website for updates on festivities.

5) Once you get 5 checkins you'll receive your very own Cabot Nightflyers Net Certificate and Membership Number. Once you get 100 checkins, you'll receive your very own Cabot Nightflyers Net Century Club Certificate. 6) In the event that the KE5ELU-L Echolink node ''fills up'' with 15 connects, Echolink stations can connect to the KE5WOK-L Echolink node...10 slots are available as an ''overflow''.

7) The CAREN Club and Arkansas Skywarn will present a Skywarn Storm Spotter Training class at the University of Arkansas At Little Rock campus, at 8am Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012. It'll be in Room 122 in Ross Hall. For further details, click here.
